Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank you for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because you are a forgiving and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and you keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control. Let me continue to see sin through your eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth of my wrong doing, and receive forgiveness.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me up lifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those who don't believe. But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that you change people and you change things for good reasons. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every one of my family members and friends and their families. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than you. Every battle is in your hands for you to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

This is my prayer.

In Jesus name,

Amen.

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

(Psalms 1v 3)

Jesus was born without the sin that entered mankind through Adam. He was born Holy, in the same way Adam was created sinless in the beginning. In contrast to Adam, who disobeyed God, Jesus obeyed God and is thus able to accept sin’s consequences on our behalf, making a bridge back to God the Father, following man’s separation (Romans 5 v 14-19).

Jesus, a Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua is a name that means Saviour. Just as how Joshua led the children of Israel into the promised land (Joshua 1 v 1-2), so Jesus would lead his people into eternal life. In Jesus Christ sins are forgiven, demons are cast out and people are healed. Centuries earlier, God had promised David that his Kingdom will last forever (2nd Samuel 7 v 16). This promise was fulfilled in the birth of Jesus, a direct descendant of David whose reign will continue throughout eternity.

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the floor, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24 v 15).

We all are born into and reap the results of Adam’s sin. Because of Jesus, we can exchange judgement for forgiveness. If we do nothing, we face eternal death through Adam, but if we choose to worship Almighty God by faith, we obtain eternal life through Jesus Christ.

God is holy, and he will not be associated with sin. All people are sinful and all sin deserves punishment. Instead of punishing us with the death we deserve. Jesus Christ took our sins upon himself and paid the price for them with his own death. Now we can joy in God,

Through faith in his works we can become the children of God, rather than enemies and outcasts.

While we were yet sinners (Romans 5 v 8) God sent Jesus Christ to die for us, because he loved us so much. We were helpless because we could do nothing on our own to save ourselves. Someone had to come at exactly the right time-he also came according to God’s own schedule. Remember, God controls all history and future.

Therefore whenever you feel uncertain about God’s love for you, remember that he loved you even before you turned to him. The love that caused Christ to die is the same love that sends the Holy Spirit to live in us and guide us every day. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that saves you and me, is available in our daily life.

Just as you can pray for forgiveness, you can also pray for God’s power and love as you need it. Be assured that having begun a new life with Christ, you have a reserve of power and love to call on each day for help to meet every situation and challenge.

The Bible parallels our spiritual journey through life. It begins by presenting us with two roads or choices- the way to life and the way to death. If we choose God’s way, we will have eternal life and reign with him. If we do not choose God’s way, we will become servants of Satan and will be destroyed in Hell with him.

If we choose God’s way to life whilst on the earth, you will still experience blessings, troubles, joy, grief, successes and obstacles. Our inward attitude becomes an outward expression. When we praise God, we help ourselves by expanding our vision of who he is:-

-          A rock that can’t be penetrated by anyone or anything.

-          A fortress or place of safety where the enemy can’t follow.

-          A buckler or shield that comes between us and harm.

-          A horn of salvation, a symbol of might and power.

-          A tower high above our enemies.

You can have a close relationship with Jesus Christ, by trusting in him alone to save you from the curse (Sin) that has fallen on all mankind. In fact when you confess your sins and receive him into your heart, God gives you the right to become His child.

“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1 v12)

Dear reader, if you haven’t done so already, is there any good reason why you cannot receive Jesus Christ into your heart right now? If you are willing to let go of your burdens, sin and if you want to repent, you can receive Jesus as your Lord and saviour right NOW! At this moment you can pray this most important prayer of your life.

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God.

I believe you come to earth. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended on high. I believe you are coming back to earth.

Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive my sins, cleanse me now with your precious blood. Come into my heart, save my soul. Right now I surrender, the best I know how. I give you my life. I proclaim you the Lord of my life, my saviour, my God.

Today I declare I no longer belong to Satan. I belong to Jesus. God Almighty is my heavenly Father, Jesus Christ my saviour, the Holy Spirit, my comforter. And I proclaim that I am yours forever, washed in your blood, and I am born again. Amen.
