“The Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” (Isaiah 61 v 1)
As servants of God, Christians have the responsibility of presenting God’s word to the unbeliever and to represent Jesus in the earth. The bible says that Christians are ambassadors (2nd Corinthians 5 v 20), this world is not our own for we are just passing through. Every disciple of Jesus Christ must share their faith and live in accordance with God’s word.
It is a daily requirement, that you read the Bible and spend time in prayer and fellowship. We all know that God loves the first and best of everything he gives us, so why not dedicate the first hour of every day to HIM. Many of us I am certain eat daily, some of us throughout the world whom are fortunate, may have up to three meals a day. Likewise, when you ‘eat and digest’ the word of God daily, you will find that not only does it makes you stronger in your faith, but its wisdom sweetens your life.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11 v 6); therefore it is our individual responsibility to have God’s word embedded down inside our hearts. God gave Joshua detailed instruction concerning his word (Joshua 1 v 7-8), and the same rules apply to followers of Jesus Christ today.
Belief in God, the Creator of heaven and Earth is not a crutch for those too weak to stand on their own. Our father in heaven makes his followers strong enough to stand against anything or anyone, including those who hate what is right. God is righteous. We also must strive to become righteous (Isaiah 61 v10). God wants to give you the stability, perseverance and insight you need to live up to the great task he has given you. Therefore give yourself over to God’s conditioning, and let him get your life back in shape and driven with purpose. Have you ever stop to consider why you were created?
It is easy for believers to forget, that God has a personal interest in each one of us. We may feel insignificant or of little self-worth, but inside God is waiting to birth greatness. By his bountiful grace, he has chosen us to experience his wonderful Love, Peace and Joy.
For those of you who are yet to taste salvation, simply repent of your transgressions and, “Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10 v 9), then you can experience the highest calling on earth.
