From Dust To Glory
“For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.” (Ecclesiastes 7 v 20)
Many people sometimes think that it would be far easier to follow God, if they could only just see Him. But the truth is, He is all around us. We just fail to recognize the evidence. The difference between living for God and living for anything else, is first clearly establishing in our minds, who we are. Man is just DUST!
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostril the breath of life, and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2 v 7)
“The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.” (Psalm 33 v 13-15)
“Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy. To deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His Holy name. Let your mercy, O Lord be upon us, just as we hope in You.” (Psalm 33 v 18-22)
Everything man has, was given to him by God. Therefore it is fitting that we should all look up and acknowledge (bow down to) Our Creator in reverence. God clearly demonstrated His great and boundless love for us, while we were yet in sin. You may be reading this article and you may be wondering, can God possibly love someone like me?
“Look to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth. For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return. That to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath.” (Isaiah 45 v 22)
Emphatically yes! No matter what kind of life you may have lived, God loves you and wants to have a close relationship with you.
