Take Charge - Expel Sin From Your Life

Published on by simondisciple

“He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3 v 8)

Sin is a defeated foe and has no place in your life, so believe and act on the promises of God written in the Bible regardless of your emotions.

Far too many believers are struggling with sin these days – and it is time for us to end that struggle. The Lord Jesus Christ did not live His life on earth, shed His precious blood, defeat Satan in the bottom-less-pit of Hell and rise again in glorious victory so that you and I could spend the rest of our lives on earth struggling against (and falling into) sin!

Everywhere you turn today there is sin, fear, evil and wickedness in the world. Mankind is hurting because there is no LOVE. The Bible tells us that men’s hearts will fail them for fear of what’s coming upon the earth – it seems we are now living in these troubled times.

There is no longer a day that goes by without us being confronted with some terrible news headline, whether it be deception, corruption, robbery, killing, manipulation, natural disaster or disaster created by mankind greed and/or exploitation. Sin is now fast becoming infectious in our homes, schools, communities, place of work and its consequences is leading to a breakdown in values, morals and a poor quality of life.

Politicians, governors, counsellors, youth workers, teachers, parents etc are all looking for answers (sadly) in the wrong area. There is only one solution. WE MUST RETURN BACK TO LOVING, OBEYING GOD AND RETURN TO LOVING ONE ANOTHER. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.”
(1 John 4 v 18)

To struggle and fight with sin is like getting back into a boxing ring with an opponent who has already been defeated. Sin has already been knocked down and out by the Lord Jesus Himself. The count is over and we’ve been declared the victor in Him. The fight with sin therefore is finished, so we might as well stop struggling, attach ourselves wholly to GOD and begin to enjoy victory.
